The Vietnamese Ministry of Health (MOH) has officially approved the publication of the “Handbook on Early Detection of Non-Communicable Diseases” on April 9th, 2018.

Designed as a practical manual for health workers in Vietnam, the Handbook aims to raise awareness among the medical community about the importance of non-communicable diseases (NCD) prevention and risk factors as well as the role of medical doctors during periodic health examinations. The development of the “Handbook on Early Detection of Non-Communicable Diseases” began in January 2017 following a field assessment and situational analysis. The Handbook particularly went through a strict process of technical and editorial reviews and was approved by the Technical Review Board, led by respected medical professionals. In addition, medical doctors and experts from local and central hospitals and medical services actively made technical contributions to this important document. This Handbook is the result of a collaborative work between MSA (MOH) and the EU Health Facility, with funding support from EU.
